  • Logic App fails 2 out of 3 times to obtain a transcript

    I'm using a logic app Video Indexer v2 to index video files, the indexing process works well, always finishes without an issue. I'm able to obtain insight shots and faces without issues. However when I try to obtain transcript it fails most of time with an error, please see the screenshot

  • uploading big video file with C# and VideoIndexer REST Api fails --> got info in portal --> indexing after 5 seconds

    I wrote some unit tests to upload video files and got the error : The operation was canceled. ---> System.Net.Http.HttpRequestException: Error while copying content to a stream. ---> System.IO.IOException: Unable to read data from the transport connection: The I/O operation has been aborted because of either a thread exit or an application request. ---> System.Net.Sockets.SocketException: The I/O operation has been aborted because of either a thread exit or an application request.... This does not happen for smaller videos. The problem occurs with a video which has a size of 120MB. The same video could be uploaded and indexed if i use the video indexer portal. It seems this problem occurs til the last mid of august. Before i got not this problem for the same videos.

  • Project not saved. Please try again later.

    Hi there, When I try and save a project with over 10 videos, I get the unhelpful error "Project not saved. Please try again later." But when I drill down into the API call using Chrome web tools, I see the API returns "TOO_MANY_SOURCE_VIDEOS The maximum allowed number of source videos is 10". I'd like to know if this is a limitation in the trial version, or the full version too? I can't find this in any documentation. Thanks

  • MS Video Indexer Transcript Issue - Good quality at the beginning of the video, but poor quality from a certain point

    I'm trying to use MS Video Indexer (https://www.videoindexer.ai) to generate transcript/subtitle in Brazilian portuguese for a video set, but I'm getting poor quality transcript from a certain point of video. I mean... It starts by transcribing well in the first few minutes of the video, but from a certain point the generated transcript becomes meaningless or generates no transcription. IMPORTANT: the media that I'm testing has good audio quality. I already tried both to set the language of media as 'pt-BR' or to use the language autodetect function. Both produced the same bad result.

  • Accuracy of Video Indexer Person recognition based on the Face API

    There is an issue with the Azure Video Indexer person recognition. My company uses the Video Indexer to recognize persons based on the person model. We noticed that if we divide the video into individual frames and use the Face API directly with these frames, the recognition rate for the persons is much higher than if we search for persons with the Video Indexer. That doesn't seem to be right. How does that happen? How exactly does the Video Indexer use the Face API? Which frames are generated? Is the video divided into frames every second? Or is the analysis based solely on the keyframe? As far as I know the Face API works with pictures only. I sincerely hope that you can help me. Thanks for your time!

  • cannot get auto detect language of my spanish video using my trial account in video indexer

    hi there, I am working on video indexer and read about auto detection of language function in video indexer i tried that with a spanish video and it is not detecting the language also it is not giving any transcript for the same. I have uploaded the video through api and the video gets uploaded but is not giving me any transcript.   • Indexer returns "Breakdown_not_found" errortype

    Hello, as suggested in the microsoft documentation were polling the result from the videoindexer via the api call. sadly since around 2 weeks i noticed that for most of our videos the videoindexer returns the error: {'ErrorType':'BREAKDOWN_NOT_FOUND','Message':'Base video 'xxxx' cannot be found.'}, this is happening on our new deployments and also on older deployments that didnt have this issue in the past. So far i was unable to find any systematic issue for why this is happening, i hope you could give me some insight on the issue. Thansk in advance, Alex

  • Difference between Cognitive service and Video Indexer

    We are currently using Azure Cognitive services to: - track faces in our videos - extract faces and detect age, gender, emotion frame by frame - group faces to "identity" persons in the video (we just need to know that person A appears in frame x, y and z) - detect labels (environment, etc) So I was wondering if Cognitive services is superseded by Video Indexer and only Video Indexer will get all the improvements from now on? Also, if I am supposed to use Video Indexer, can I require just the features I am interested on? E.g I do not need indexing, search, audio transcription and more.

  • Timeline changes are not saved

    Hi, in AMS VideoIndexer in the timeline the text is edited and loading info is no longer displayed so it should be saved, when I then close the EditMode the edited text is gone and the original text is there again. If I don't end the EditMOde directly but first switch to the tab Insights and then back to TimeLine and then end the EditMode the text will be saved. Also when editing many rows and there is an issue that when one row save is finish it reset the editing from my current row that is not yet saved. location is northeurope, account id is d94adfac-1845-4c5d-88ed-44c8b3154c3e thx

  • Upload video API

    I have been using the VI API using a C# console application. In the past I have been able to upload 5-10 videos each night by looping through a list that was created by our users. Starting last night, I appears that I am only able to upload one video at a time. That video needs to be fully indexed before I am able to upload the second video. Otherwise I am getting this error: Error: 429 Rate limit is exceeded. Try again in 2 seconds.

    Hi , in https://www.videoindexer.ai/settings/account I get the Error: "Video Indexer can't connect to your Azure Media Services account." We have moved to another subscription and facing this issue but than moved back but still got the issue. When I want to watch a video it shows the error in the screenshot. Console log says 401 Unauthorized for requesting keydelivery(Failed to download AES key url). But the Parameter kid is not equal to my accountId. Is that the problem.   • After uploading video locally using Python and Requests, video fails indexing after 5 seconds

    After using a post request with the video saved locally to upload to the API, the request gets a valid response indicating it is being uploaded. But seeing it being uploaded on the site(https://www.videoindexer.ai/) after refreshing after about 5 seconds, the video fails at indexing. But using Postman to upload the video has no problems.   • Deleting specific keywords does not delete them from the response

    Hi all, First of all, sorry about the fact that this is posted under Authorization API. It is the only option I have. Secondly, my issue is that when I delete specific keywords from the user interface they do not get deleted from the JSON response of the video. I would like it so that I can have a bit of control over which keywords appear for each of my videos. For example, I had a keyword 'symbol' and when I deleted using the GUI I was still able to search for the word 'symbol' using the 'GET https://api.videoindexer.ai/{location}/Accounts/{accountId}/Videos/Search?query=symbol' endpoint. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

  • Embeeded VideoPlayer cannot open the indexed video.

    I have successful indexed many videos via API. I can see containers in my azure blob storage with names "asset-GUID" which was made by the videoindexer, and I can also get additional artifacts by the videoId via API. But the embeeded video player cannot open any video by URL obtained by the API request "https://api.videoindexer.ai/..../{videoId}/PlayerWidget". The embeeded video player shows 404 error. My video indexer account=08062dad-ede2-4e3f-817b-b51b4aa115c4, storage account name=mediaarchivefesco. The same code works well with another trial account. What is the cause of the problem?

  • Video stuck indexing

    I have one video that was uploaded using the Upload Video API. It was uploaded using the videoUrl parameter. It has been stuck at 5% for three days. I cannot re-index it or delete it at this point. Has anyone else had this issue, and if so, how do you remove the video?

    "audioEffects" is always empty for vedio. Even if it can be recognized occasionally, only one sound effect or one fragment can be identified once in a while.

  • "emotions" is very different from human judgment.

    I'm always confused about the results given by "emotions". Compared with the sample videos, I found that the video indexer may be less accurate in judging Chinese emotions. An exaggerated facial expression will be identified as a positive emotion, which may actually be that just the pronunciation of the word needs, or speak angrily, or awkwardly. Gentle smile can also be identified as negative emotions....By the way, It can only identify a few fragments, Most of the time it can't judge emotions.   • Face recognition - learning from manual input not accurate

    i used video indexer for a video with a celebrity in it. It identified the celebrity correctly in some parts of the video. But marked him as unknown person in other parts(4 seperate unknown people). I manually tagged the other unknowns also by the same celebrity name. When I run it again, it correctly says that the celebrity is in 91% of the video (combines all tags) but still shows the other 4 as the celebrity, but found in 0% of the video.

    In the video insights json response from the service, the duration of a transcript segment is variable (probably based on input duration), but appears to have been increasing in recent months, at times being 30 seconds long. The resulting text block, when output as a caption file, is too long for usable display. Is there any way to specify the maximum duration or text length either in the initial upload video request or when making a request to get video captions?

    Hi, Azure Video indexer (https://www.videoindexer.ai) documentation says : "When creating a Video Indexer account, you can choose a free trial account (where you get a certain number of free indexing minutes) or a paid option (where you are not limited by the quota). With free trial, Video Indexer provides up to 600 minutes of free indexing to website users and up to 2400 minutes of free indexing to API users." I have trial account and am using API to upload and index my video. But after completion of 600 minutes of indexing I get message that my quota is exhausted. I believe I should be allowed to use up to 2400 minutes as I am using only API to upload and index. Please help.

    Hello, We used the API to build embed urls for player and insights for private videos. With the trial it worked with "www.videoindexer.ai" domain. With a paid instance in northeurope it doesn't work but it works if we use "ne.videoindexer.ai" domain instead... However we didn't found any documentation about that, is it an issue on your side or do we have to change the domain regarding the AMS instance location ? If we have to change it, can you provide a list of location and the corresponding domain so we can maintain it ? Or an API endpoint to call to have the domain to use ? We currently build the embed URL ourselves, however you perhaps have an API endpoint that build it for us with the correct path/location/accountId/videoId and one access token ?     Hello, Before start the real issue, I don't know why I don't have the option to report issue to "Operation API", "Authorization" is the only option to me. My use case is that we have archived conversation/interview audios need to be indexed. Is it possible to create "unknow speaker" profiles automatically? or just differenciate the speakers without identifying them? so that we will be able to know how many speakers spoke in the audio/video, and who said what.   • Getting english results for Annotations

    Hi, why do I get annotation results in english even if I index a video on a different language? For example: I'm from Brazil, when I upload a video for indexing, I choose Portuguese as my source language. All results returns in Portuguese, like transcripts, faces and keywords, except for the keywords that returns in english. If I choose English as the source language and changes to Portuguese results in VI interface, the annotations are translated properly. Looks like the annotations language is english by default, even if I choose Portuguese as the source language. So, there's a fix for this problem?   • Stuck in infinite load with embed player in IOS WKWebview

    Hello, I'm trying to display an embed video inside a WKWebview on an IOS device with the following code in my iframe: src="https://www.videoindexer.ai/embed/player/{id}" width="100%" height="100%" frameborder="0" scrolling="no" allowtransparency="true" allowfullscreen="true" webkitallowfullscreen="true" mozallowfullscreen="true" The iframe loads and then the VideoIndexer loader appears but never ends. I tried testing this iframe everywhere else and it is working fine on navigators like chrome, even on mobile safari but it keeps loading indefinitely on webviews.   • Player Widget not working for audio-only uploads

    Hi, I have uploaded a number of audio-only .m4a files over the last couple of months, both via the APIs, and via the Video Indexer portal. For all of my most recent uploads, I am finding that the files are apparently processed correctly, and I can view the insights widgets for the videos fine, but the player widget is failing to load. The player widget shows the 'expanding green circle' loading icon, but never loads. The full transcript, sentiment timeline, and keywords of the audio are all available via the Insights widget though. Any thoughts?
